Description:
Looking for a Pinkabelle pollinator or just love green apples? Look no further. Our 'Leprechaun'™ Dwarf Granny Smith Apple will help you achieve the best results for fruiting your Pinkabelle Apple.
It is a compact, spur bearing dwarf Granny Smith apple variety. Leprechaun™Dwarf Granny Smith grows to approximately 2.0-2.5 metres tall by approximately 2.0-2.5 metre wide. It produces full size, high quality Granny Smith apples. It also requires minimal PRUNING! It is part of our Backyard Beauties™ Range
LeprechaunTM Dwarf Granny Smith is a true dwarf which means the tree is dwarfing - not the rootstock which is usually the case for other dwarfing apple trees. A spring flush of flowers will add life to your garden and bring the bees coming in to do their work.
The Pollinators
All apples need pollinators. LeprechaunTM Dwarf Granny Smith is partially self fertile, which means it will set small amounts of fruit without a pollinator - HOWEVER - it will benefit from cross pollination, which will result in more fruit setting on your plant.
Pinkabelle® is an ideal pollination partner, or Crab apples, Gala, Fuji and Red Delicious apple varieties are some of the most common Granny Smith cross pollinators.
