HAKEA SALICIFOLIA Willow Hakea, named after its slender, willow-like foliage, has an abundance of small, fluffy, creamy white, honey scented flowers which pollinators will adore. Super tough, this robust native grows quickly and responds well to pruning to keep it tidy. Great as an evergreen screen or left alone will grow into a small tree 5x3m.
Both foliage and flowers which mature into interesting knobbly nuts, and are great for a cut flower filler.
GUICHENOTIA MACRANTHA Large Flowered Guichenotia have delightful purple lantern-like flowers in profusion from Winter to early Summer. Flowers begin rich purple and fade to a soft lilac. An attractive small shrub that can grow up to 1.5m tall with soft grey-green foliage which offers a contrast to greens in the environment. This beauty will take sun or some shade and is great for under planting; perfect for under the Willow Hakea.
Native Cone Flowers or Cotton Heads are a grassy perennial native to Western Australia. A wonderful low boarder plant with attractive silvery-grey strap-shaped foliage and golden-yellow tubular flowers of showy clusters on tall stems which feature Winter to Spring.
