Light up the garden for Autumn & Winter

CAMELLIA SASANQUA 'ASAKURA'
My favorite Camellia because it brightens up a dull space and flowers longer than any other.
Asakura is very showy with flowering extending from autumn through to early winter. The bush is vigorous, strong, upright and sun hardy. Leaves are dark green, thick and glossy highlighting the pink buds and showy white flowers. Asakura looks great either clipped to shape or left to form a natural tear dropped shaped shrub. You can grow this one just about anywhere as long as it get water through summer. It's time to feed with Azalea and Camellia Fertiliser to improve flowering
Sun - Shade H 3m x 2m

GAURA 'PINK'

This free-flowering perennial plant produces masses of blush pink flowers from spring until late autumn, on spires above green foliage that turns a reddish colour. Ideal for rockeries, perennial borders, cottage garden styles and in containers. Grow in an open sunny position in moist, well drained soil.
Tolerant of dry conditions. H 1.2m x W 1m
Expert Tip- Cut back hard after flowering to encourage new growth.

BACOPA 'WHITE'
An extremely versatile groundcover. Bacopa has pretty clear white rounded flowers that bloom for many months, beginning in spring, and are very tolerant of a hot, sunny position, though can also grow in part-shade. They are excellent plants for creating a soft and flowery effect, especially for cascading over walls pots and baskets. This free flowering  ground cover forms a mat upto a 1.5min diameter and 5cm tall at maturity. One of my all time favourite ground covers because of the length of flowering and variety of colours.

Spathiphyllum ‘Peace Lily’ in Conner Footed Pot Black

Spathiphyllum is regarded as one of the most popular indoor plants because of its beautiful lush dark green leaves and its crisp white lily looking flower. Spathiphyllums grow in quite low light and will flower in those conditions too, there is almost no position in your house where one will not grow!
Spathiphyllums do like to have a bit of a drink but on the other hand they will tolerate drying out too! if you forget to water your spathiphyllum give it a sit in a bucket so it is fully saturated, let it drain and it will come good for you. Listen to what it is telling you and do that! Spaths suit a wide range of uses including indoors, offices and green walls. I have even grown them fully submerged in a tropical fish tank (fresh water only!)

We have paired the Peace Lily with the Conner Footed Black Pot as the back pot contrasts very well with the foliage and white flowers to make them pop!

SUPER CYCLAMEN
Large butterfly-like flowers are carried above attractively patterned foliage over a long period. Flowers range in colour from white and pink, burgundy and bicolour.
Excellent pot plant to bring a splash of colour indoors.
Spectacular when mass planted outdoors. Thrives in a cool, sheltered position protected from direct sun. Indoors, avoid placing near heaters and place outdoors at night.
Keep soil moist but not wet and avoid watering the foliage. Remove spent flowers by gently pinching the stem and twisting.

AUTUMN AFTERNOONS

Broccoli Romanesco

A crazy modern version of the classic green vegetable that is loved by all.  They have dark green foliage and a golden green flower with crazy head patterns. Flavour is best when not overcooked. Broccoli makes a great diet dish tossed in the wok with some garlic, ginger and lime juice.
Broccoli requires an airy, open position with plenty of sun. Avoid areas with heavier frosts. Likes spring watering in a location with very good drainage. Will bolt to seed in summer. Requires regular application of a seaweed fertiliser such as Maxcirop Liquid fertiliser. Harvest at 3-6 months
Height 60cm x Width 40cm
