Australian Garlic

A versatile herb that enhances other herbs and is an essential part of many different cuisines. Freshly harvested garlic is a much milder flavour than the store-bought product. It can be added at any stage of cooking being very good for your health, with modern research showing a regular intake of garlic will reduce risk of cancer and heart disease, Also good for building resistance to colds and flu. Just in case you come across a vampire, plaited strands of garlic knobs will keep them away.
Garlic grows in most soil types but prefers composted soil and needs regular moisture in a part to full sun position. Harvest about 6 months after planting when the leaves start to turn brown. Regular feeding with Maxicrop seaweed fertiliser in spring and summer will keep the plant health and growing well.
