Autumn Glory
The cool nights have started and the trees are starting to change colour. This combination offers foliage colour and texture with a bonus of hardy blooms.

GINKGO BILOBA 'LEMONLIME SPIRE'
My all time favourite tree is Ginkgo bioloba, so when Lemonlime Spire was release I was very excited. The perfect tree for a small garden. It is a fast-growing and compact form of Ginkgo. The rich lime-green delicately creased summer foliage turns a bright display of glowing lemon-yellow in Autumn. Ginkgos are actually ‘living fossils’ from the ancient Gondwana continent. Ginkgo are also known for the smelly fruit they can bear, but this male clone won't produce them! With a strong vertical growth habit this Maidenhair Tree is perfect for courtyard gardens, containers and stylish landscapes. The columnar form is well-suited to formal garden styles but is equally at home in a mixed planting where it provides a contrasting vertical accent.

CAREX 'FEATHER FALLS'
Great for under planting, ‘Feather Falls’ is a highly decorative Carex with outstanding foliage. The long, clean and crisp foliage is so low maintenance you don’t need to do a thing. Its cascading foliage looks stunning planted alongside both foliage and flower varieties, with its beautiful plumes of feathery flower stems emerging from the centre of foliage during spring. It grows to 50cm and tolerates hot sun to part shade.

CORREA 'RING A DING DING'
Correas are a well known native to Australian gardeners for their cheery floral displays over the cooler months and attracts many honey eating birds. Compact and neat, low growing, native shrub with a prolific display of brilliant orange flowers from autumn through to early spring. Tolerant of dry conditions once established Correa are very versitile
Full Sun-Part Shade HEIGHT 50cm x WIDTH 60cm

PRATIA PEDUNCULATA 'ALBA'
White Star Creeper is a petite yet hardy Australian Native groundcover. It forms an excellent, dense mat that works well between stepping stones and as under-plantings for shrubs and taller perennials. It features masses of tiny white flowers blooming spring and summer and often through to autumn, above tiny, glossy green leaves. As it is shallow rooted it performs best in moist, well-drained soil with average water. Tolerates light of foot traffic and can be grown as lawn substitute. Vigorous but not invasive. Grows well in shade to full sun but keep it well watered on hot days in summer
Height and Spread: 5cm x 50cm

Assorted Fuchsia varieties

Fuchsias are flowering plants known for their elegant, drooping, bell-shaped flowers that come in vibrant shades of pink, purple, red, and white. Fuchsias thrive in cool, shaded environments and are popular in hanging baskets, containers, and garden beds. With proper care, fuchsias provide stunning, long-lasting blooms throughout the growing season.

Calathea 'Red Mojo' in Ruche Foot Pot

Calatheas are stunning indoor plants that are generally very hardy and do well in low light making them well suited for indoor use in pots or terrariums. These calatheas will also do exceptionally well in pots in most places indoors. They are very slow growing and will not require much maintenance. They can grow 30 to 60cm tall.
Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings. Keep on the drier side in winter. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Fertiliser should be only used if you would like the plant to grow. Lack of fertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact.

Snow Pea - Bikini

A vigorous variety that requires no support. Producing sweet, flat, crispy, 10 cm long pods. Height to 90 cm. Harvest in 70 – 84 days.

Peas are planted in the cooler seasons, sow pea seeds from April to September, and they can be harvested in around 9-11 weeks.

Since peas like slightly alkaline soil, it’s best to prepare the soil a few weeks before planting seedlings by adding a small amount of dolomite lime to the soil, along with some manure or a balanced fertiliser. Mix in some compost to improve drainage if the soil is compacted, as peas don’t like ‘wet feet’, better known as waterlogged roots.

When plants start growing, they will need watering. As peas are susceptible to powdery mildew, it is best to water them early in the day and to water the soil near their roots, without wetting their leaves.

Once the pea plants start producing, pick the pods every day to increase production.
Good companion plants for peas are potatoes, radishes, carrots and turnips. Members of the onion family, such as shallots, onions and garlic are bad companions, as their roots exude antibiotic compounds into the soil which inhibit the nitrogen-fixing bacteria associated with the roots of leguminous plants.
