Tillandsia cyanea with Silver Tin Tillandsia 'Paradise'
Paradise form of T. cyanea has flower bracts that last up to 6 months in colour and produce 5cm blue flowers over a 6 week period. Best kept indoors or protected outdoors out of winter rain.
Paradise will grow well but will not flower if kept in a dark room. Water when almost dry on foliage and soil, use a weak fertiliser over warmer months. After flowering, old bracts can be removed, new plants will then form and these can flower the following year.

Sage is a multipurpose plant that has attractive foliage and pretty blooms in spring and summer. Generally, these plants are grown for their edible foliage, and many gardeners choose to pinch off the flowers. This encourages plants to use their energy to produce tender leaves instead of seeds. If you let your plants bloom, cut back below the start of the bloom stalks once they fade to encourage new growth.
