Terrariums thrive best in a bright room away from direct sunlight. Closed terrariums generally require less work as their environment becomes self contained, keep them barely moist otherwise the plants may rot from heavy condensation. Open terrariums require watering weekly to monthly. If the soil appears wet and sticks to the glass, the terrarium does not require watering just yet.
Peperomia 'Silver Heart' is a compact growing plant with reddish stems and purple leaves with deep silvery-grey ripples. Tall cream coloured flowers can grow during the warmer months and in the right conditions.
Position in a bright room away from direct sunlight. Water when soil feels dry or plant starts to droop. Pinch off dead leaves to produce thick regrowth and a well rounded specimen.
This carrot variety is sweet, crisp and make a great snack. They are a great crunchy carrot perfect for canning or pickling. With a minimal core, smooth skin and 10cm long, Little Fingers are delicious raw or slightly cooked.
Harvest these baby carrots when they are big enough to eat as to thin out the rest of your crop and allow them to grow. Position in a full sun position. Plant each individual plant 5-10cm apart.
Lettuce, chives, onions, leeks and radish make great companion plants to the carrot.
