Pretty in Pink Camellias are really starting to colour up to thill us with flowers through the cooler months. Here is a soft pretty combination for a more traditional style.
CAMELLIA 'SWEET JANE' Camellia 'Sweet Jane' is by far the longest flowering pink Camellia. Sweet Jane is a Victorian bred hybrid variety that can flower for 5 – 6 months of the year. Rose pink buds open to masses of white/blush pink blooms edged soft pink to pink. New growth in Autumn and Spring has a beautiful coppery deep red hue over its bushy upright foliage. It grows 2-3m and can be planted in sun or shade. Perfect for a feature or a flowering screening plant. Prepare the soil with Pure Magic Compost when planting and ensure regular watering through summer. It’s a great time to fertilise with Azalea and Camellia Fertiliser to stimulate flower production. Planted as a hedge or specimen, Sweet Jane will delight you with flowers Autumn and Winter. H 2.5m x 1.5m
Gaura 'Geyser Pink' is an upright perennial with lance-shaped, mid-green leaves and willowy shoots that bear a long succession of deep pink, butterfly-like flowers. Ideal in cottage or water-wise gardens. Suitable for tubs and containers. Prefers a sunny warm position in well-drained soil. Tolerant of most soil types, coastal conditions, humidity, light frost and extended dry periods.

BACOPA 'PINK' Evergreen ground cover plant which forms a mat . Bacopa has simple, rounded flowers and comes in various colours in single and double forms. They bloom for many months, beginning in spring, and are very tolerant of a hot, sunny position, though can also grow in part-shade. They are excellent plants for creating a soft and flowery effect, especially for cascading over walls and baskets. Calathea orbifolia is a very attractive plant with large rounded leaves in a striking light green colour with regular silver-white stripes that will attract keen tropical gardeners and humble indoor plant lovers alike. Position in a medium to low light position in a peat based potting mix which is free draining. Water when soil feels dry or plant starts to droop. Keep soil moist but not wet, watering more in summer and less in winter.

Rocket leaves have a peppery peanut flavour that are best eaten when young. Pick leaves and add to any general or leafy green salad or use as a base for a variety of meat and vegetable dishes. A compact growing annual with attractive multi-lobed light green leaves. All parts of the plant edible and the more it is picked the more it will produce.
