LOBULARIA 'BLUSH PRINCESS'

If there's one new plant that should be on everyone's list, it's Blush Princess perennial Sweet Alyssum.
With abundant, highly fragrant small purple-white blooms, this vigorous plant will thrive in hot or cold.  As a sterile Lobularia is extremely vigorous, and because it puts no energy into setting seed it has an incredibly long bloom time. As it to grows to a ball 30cm, it makes for a great hanging basket or window box plant and is a perfect filler in combinations. Loves the sun and will cope with part shade.

Watering requirements are low once established requiring only occasional deep watering over extended periods of heat.

Oxalis Triangularis in Avi Planter

Oxalis triangularis, commonly known as the 'purple shamrock,' it features deep purple, triangular leaves that fold up at night, which is a unique characteristic of many Oxalis species. In the daytime, the leaves spread out in a star-shaped formation, providing a striking contrast to the plant's white or pale pink flowers that bloom in clusters.

Oxalis triangularis thrives in bright, indirect light and requires well-drained soil. It is known for its low-maintenance nature and is often grown as an ornamental plant in homes or gardens. Though it is a hardy plant, it can go dormant for a period, with its leaves dying back and the plant resting before sprouting again. The plant's beautiful foliage and interesting growth cycle make it a popular choice for indoor plant enthusiasts.

French Tarragon

An easy to use herb that has a medium aniseed flavour. The leaves must be used as fresh as possible as the flavour dissipates quickly after picking. Pick and use with smoked salmon and cream cheese for a delightful entrée.

This small shrub requires a dry, sunny spot in very well drained soil. Needs little fertilising and tolerates limey soils.

Height 30cm x Width 40cm

Time to Feed & Protect Citrus

Citrus leaf-miner is a grub of a small moth which burrows under the cuticle of new growth citrus leaves and distorts and curls them.
This unsightly pest damage can be prevented by spraying new foliage with an oil spray like Eco-Pest Oil as the moth will avoid laying eggs on the oily surface.

The only thing to be done about growth already affected is to trim it off the plant and feed with Fruit & Citrus Food to encourage new growth which you can then treat with oil to prevent the grubs.
