Festival of Flowers!
This week we have visited many temples and pagodas still decorated and full of colour during the celebration of Tet. The festival can last a full month. Vietnamese people travel to pray at their Buddhist temple and give offering in the hope of a safe and prosperous year.

With large flowers from summer to autumn, Echinacea Sunseekers are ideal for cottage or wildflower style gardens and can do well in compact patio containers. Highly attractive to pollinators, that last well as cut flower for vases, Echinaceas are dry tolerant with minimal maintenance.
Keys for success: Water when dry for first 6 weeks after planting and during extended periods of heat. No pruning generally required - cut spent flower stems to encourage further flushes. Apply slow release fertiliser in early spring. May become herbaceous in colder regions with fresh foliage re-appearing in spring.
Parlour Palm in Vera Blush Pot Graceful, small palm with dark green, soft, fern-like fronds and thin leaflets. Tiny, yellow flowers add to the attraction. A very good porch or house plant, or garden specimen in tropical areas. Grow in warm, shady position outdoors in moist, well drained soil. Can be grown indoors in both bright, indirect light or low-light environments. Keep moist during summer months and liquid fertilise in spring.
This perennial herb grows as a small shrub with narrow aromatic, strong flavoured green leaves growing on purple stems with deep purple flowers. It's ideal planted in a warm location, either in herb gardens or pots and containers. A tasty addition to Southeast Asian, Taiwanese and Vietnamese cuisine, Pad Thai noodles, as well as meat and chicken stir-fry dishes or whole leaf clusters to beverages and cocktails.
