Primula acaulis (Primrose)
Do you like the ruffled or original??
Either way they bring vibant seasonal colour to the garden or pots.

HOT WINTER MAPLES
As the weather becomes even more bitter this planting combination pops. Coral Bark Maple is in my top 3 fav feature trees.

Acer palmatum Sango Kaku - Coral Bark Maple
This Japanese maple is a real stunner in winter. The striking bark turns a brighter shade of red in winter. This tree has attractive double serrated leaves with five to nine lobes. They are green in colour during Spring and then turn a bright yellow with an orange tinge at Autumn, providing colour year round. With a mature height of 5m, plant in morning sun, semi-shade to protected from summer afternoon heat. They can also be planted in large containers like these dramatic Dracena Pots.
Combine with other folige texture of Dianella Red Cherry as a cortrast of green and Nandina with its bushy foliage in shades of crimson, orange, light green, purple and scarlet.

CTENANTHE SETOSA IN FLOWER POT BLACK WITH STAND

Growing up to a metre, this Ctenanthe will add some height to your indoor jungle, especially paired with this matte black pot with a stand.  Its striking foliage with deep burgundy undersides is sure to create a statement. Position in a bright spot indoors away from direct sunlight. This Ctenanthe can also grow in a protected, shaded area outside, away from the cold wind.

SNOW PEA BIKINI

Bikini is a vigorous climbing variety of snow pea that produces sweet flavoured, crispy flat pods 10cm long.
Best grown in full sun and will require a climbing frame with plenty of support.
Keep the leaves dry to prevent powdery mildew and allow plenty of space between each plant where possible.
Pick when young for best flavour. Feed regularly with maxicrop.

Is your lemon tree covered in scale insects ?
Take a close look. You're not alone!

Eco-pest oil is an easy, safe and organic way to kill scale insect on citrus and other edible plants. Spray thoroughly so the oil smothers all of the insects.

To fully get rid of scale, you will also need to get rid of any ants you may have in the area, as they will reintroduce scale to your tree - they actually farm scale as a food source! Spray-on ant killer is great for immediately knocking off the ants on the tree, while ant kill granules are used to kill off their nest.
