Description
During trials Elite Citrine proved to be one of the most compact varieties and covered itself with profuse flushes of papery deep golden blooms. The flowers lasted for months.
POSITION: Full sun to part shade, well-drained soil, Elite Citrine hates wet feet!
FLOWERING: Best flowering is September to May but Elite Citrine will flower continuously if trimmed after a flush is completed
USE: Ideal for garden borders, pots and mixed planters. Flowers can be cut and dried for small posies.
DURABILITY: Adequate water until established, then Elite Citrine is tolerant of dry periods.
CARE: In the cooler months it is important that Bracteantha are kept a little drier and in a well-drained soil. When Elite Citrine has finished a flush, trim to shape and it will re-flower quickly. Avoid pruning during the cold months in fact keep as much foliage on as possible and wait until the warmer weather. Fertilise seasonally with organic fertiliser.
