Calatheas are stunning indoor plants that are generally very hardy and do well in low light making them well suited for indoor use in pots or terrariums. Crocata will also do exceptionally well in pots in most places indoors. They are very slow growing and will not require much maintenance. They can grow 30 to 40cm tall and provide stunning orange flower bracts for most of the growing season.

Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings. Keep on the drier side in winter. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light.
