Camellia 'Paradise Caroline' 250 mm
This beautiful Camellia is fast growing and has a bushy habit with spreading growth, forming a full rounded, dense shrub. Produces bright, deep rose pink/red, informal double rose shaped flowers with many petaloid stamens, that can become blue tinted in the cold weather.
Performs well in full sun or part shade and is suitable for low to medium hedges and screens. Ideal for display tubs, mass planting or accent planting.
Position: Will thrive in full sun and part shade.
Soil: Camellias like a rich top soil, but are tolerant of most soil types, provided there is good drainage. It is advisable to build up poor soil with well composted organic matter.
Watering: Water regularly until established, then periodically as required.
Once established Camellias are surprisingly drought hardy.
Fertilising: Feed with a complete fertiliser in spring and summer, as required Flowering: During autumn/winter, the bigger they get the longer they flower.
Grow tips: A good mulch is essential. Prune lightly in early spring if required.
Do not prune after December as you may be cutting off next seasons.
