Eggplant Mini Lebanese

Eggplant Mini Lebanese is a compact plant, perfect for small spaces. It produces clusters of small finger-like, up to 8cm tender fruits that are delicate with a mildly sweet flavour and a silky texture. Mini Lebanese has been specially selected to grow in containers or small garden spaces providing good crops of tasty, nutritious eggplants that can be harvested from your patio, balcony or courtyard.

The best place in the garden for eggplants is in the warmest, sunniest location you can find. They’ll do even better if they’re planted against a wall, as the radiated heat will help keep them warm when night temperatures drop. 

One way to increase fruiting is to create more fruit-bearing stems by pinching out the main tip when plants reach 30cm in height. This will make the plant bushier and encourage the formation of sideshoots.

Another way to increase productivity is by pollinating more flowers. Either tap the flowers to release pollen to promote pollination or use a soft paintbrush to hand pollinate them.

Providing nutrients when the plant needs them most also improves productivity. Once the plants begins fruiting, feed every two weeks with a liquid fertilizer for vegetables, such as a Maxicrop Seaweed fertiliser
