Hibbertia scandens, sometimes known as golden guinea vine is native to eastern Australia. It is climber to 3m or scrambler with egg-shaped leaves ?? that are narrower end towards the base. A scrambler means it can be used as a tall ground cover to about 50cm. Ideal for a bank or rockery. A vigorous and twining plant with large yellow flowers in late spring and summer,l. Can grow in sun or part shade, best flowering is in sunny spots.Low maintenance apart from cutting back any stems that wander into unwanted places. A good waterwise plant once it gets established, and tolerant very sandy soils and coast salt conditions.
