Description
Rose Cone Flower is one of the Western Australian unique flowering natives. It is a small to medium shrub up to 2 metres high. The deep mauve to pink flowers occur in winter and spring, conspicuously displayed on the ends of the branches. The flower clusters are around 50mm in diameter and are followed by ornamental spherical seed pods which remain on the plant until trimmed. It requires well drained, moist soils and will withstand light to moderate frosts.
Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth. Fertilise with a low phosphorus native fertiliser.
