Crepe Myrtle like Lipan are still in flower and love these late summers making them our top feature tree for small gardens.
Bred and selected for its resistance to powdery mildew. A popular cultivar from the Indian Summer® range, Lagerstroemia 'Lipan' is tough and has year-round interest including a long flowering period, dark green leaves, turning light orange to russet in autumn.
The flowers are masses of medium pink which fade to lavender as they age. Flowers are produced on current season's growth in summer so crepe myrtles love a prune
Best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils in a position receiving full sun but can also be planned in poorer soil if you water well in the first year.
