CONDITIONS
Originating from South Africa, Leucadendrons have adapted well to Australian conditions. Foliage is usually elliptical with the occasional needle-like variety. Most often it is green with a dense covering of silvery hairs. Flowers are actually bracts and are produced at the tips of the branches. Attractive cone heads are the centre point of the display.
CONDITIONS: Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic soil in an open, sunny position. If drainage is poor, plant on a sloping bank or raised bed. Improve poor soil by digging in organic material.
