Description
Katsura has a compact growth habit, and a continuous flow of eye-catching deep red new foliage through spring and summer, this is a resilient performer in a variety of conditions. Rose-coloured blooms on racemes appear in late winter, creating an elegant cascade of flowers in contrast to the deep green foliage.
Cultural
Thrives in well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soils that mimic its native mountain forest habitat. It performs well in full sun or dappled shade. Prefers well drained rich soils and little pruning is required.
