DESCRIPTION - Grasses are an underused plant for the modern garden. Planted en-masse or as specimen plants they add colour and form. From soft green through blue to red and brown the colour range is extensive and the feathery foliage and flowers contrast well with trees, shrubs and perennials. Blue Paradise is an hardy Nth American grass that is the perfect plant for the modern perennial garden.

FEATURES - Blue Paradise gives colour and form across the whole year. Feathery blue foliage that silver blue-pink then ages to burgundy-purple with flowers and soft white seed heads.

FLOWERS - Masses of tiny red-bronze flowers on top of soft feathery stems in late summer that are followed by feathery white seeds heads. They are great as a fresh or dried cutflower:

PLANT WITH - Plant with any of the traditional perennials like Penstemon, Salvia, Lavender and Phlox either in the mix or as a soft border. Also looks good in a traditional native garden with Anigozanthus, Correa and Grevillea.

CULTIVATION - 'Blue Paradise likes almost any garden position with at least some sun.

It will tolerate moderate frosts, humidity, wind and poor soils. The foliage gives best colour in full sun. A hard prune in late winter will keep the plant tidy and give a good display in spring.
