STYLE LIKE CHADSTONE Exciting times this week when I installed some impact plants for #1 Skin and Fertility at Chadstone Shopping Centre this week!
BELLA POTS
Set the mood with gorgeous soft pink Bella Pots. With a stylish design and textured matte finish they offset the bold glossy leaves of Cordyline & Strelitzia.
STRELITZIA NICOLAI
The Giant Bird of Paradise can be grown indoors in a very bright position. It makes an impact with its bold foliage and broad architectural leaves up to 1.5m long. Also ideal for creating a tropical effect in the garden. During spring and early summer, it bears unusual beak-like, blue and white flowers with deep purple bracts. They thrive in rich, moist well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position, with some protection from direct sun. Keep moist in hot dry weather but only water when dry in winter.
CORDYLINE RUBRA
Cordyline Rubra produces glossy, broad, dark red leaves that are streaked with rose pink when new. An extremely colourful and lush Cordyline with foliage like no other indoor. Perfect for pink pots in a sunny room or protected patio. Protect them from the winter cold and water sparingly as the temperatures drop. They can grow to 2m and become multi branched when given a very large pot. Pot up with Terracotta & Tub Potting Mix to keep them lush and healthy.
Calathea ornata or 'Pinstripe' Calathea have gorgeous deep green leaves with pink stripes that look as if they could have been painted on!
Position your Calathea in a bright room away from direct sunlight. Do not put your plant too close to heating or cooling as the Calathea can be sensitive to sudden changes in temperature and cold or hot drafts. Water and feed more regularly in the warmer months. Allow to dry out between watering especially in Winter.
Fresh-Made Terrariums The Perfect Gift for any Desk or Side Table Including the gorgeous Pinstripe Calathea, these terrariums range in size from single-plant desk features, to large statement pieces.

Cat grass aids in digestion, is souce of niacin and Vitamin B and relaxes stressed cats. Plant in a moist well drained position in part or full to sun. Suitable for indoor use under light. Great to grow in pots on a window sill, verandah or patio.
Cat nip is great in the garden where the cats play so they can roll in the foliage and breathe in the aroma. Cats will sniff, chew, lick and jump around the bush. Place dried leaves in their favourite toys for indoor use.
Cat Thyme is a perennial herb with pink flowers and silver grey leaves.
Caterpillars Return - Watch out broccoli!
Tomato Dust is the answer
Tomato Dust is very effective for killing caterpillars, while leaving other insects alone, and only 24h is needed after dusting before you can pick and eat your edibles.
EXPERT TIP- Avoid using Tomato Dust if there are a lot of bees in the area/on the flowers of the plants you are dusting. We use it a dusk once the bees have gone to bed.
