As Good As it Gets
The last of the rose flowers are in bloom. As the weather cools down I love the warmth of the colour red in the garden.
'As Good As It Gets' is a beautiful, repeat flowering rose of deep pink and blackberry with a strong fragrance. Growth from approximately 80cm to 1m high.
Plant in full sun for easy care and a profusion of flowers.

Syngonium ‘Green Velvet’

A more uncommon Syngonium variety with dark green arrow shaped leaves and a contrasting light veined middle. Place in a bright indoor position without direct sunlight and allow soil to dry out slightly between watering.

Pak Choi Green
Another wonderful Autumn/ Winter annual vegetable to grow. It features a compact growth and attractive green stems and leaves.
Pak Choi is an excellent flavour partner with Tatsoi, Bok Choy, Mizuna. Great for using in salads stir fries and soups. Pak Choi and Boy Choy are bascially the same plant but the Bok Choy has white stems.
Like most leaf vegetables it is high in vitamins C & K and potassium, iron and calcium. It is best eaten in stir-fries and lightly steamed but also tastes nice eaten raw in salads and sandwiches. Toss in wok with fresh broccoli florets, soy sauce and ginger marmalade. Can also be added to soups and stews.
Prefers moist but well drained soil in a part to full sun position. Will tolerate heavy frosts.
Fertilise with Maxicrop during warmer months. Harvest when leaves are about 15cm long. Excellent for repeat harvesting and the more you use it the better it will perform.
