EUCALYPTUS WEBSTERIANA Webster’s Mallee, a compact West Australian native Eucalyptus ideal for compact garden design. Its real showstopper is the foliage. Striking, heart-shaped leaves in a cool greyish-blue hue cast a delicate, dappled shade. New shoots emerge with a subtle pink tint, adding an elegant, ever-changing texture to the landscapes. HELICHRYSUM 'RED JEWEL' A compact and eye catching strawflower with ruby red buds which open to starry white straw like flowers held above lovely silver foliage. Tom's Indoor Combo of the Week! Masdevallia Orchid in Dol Pot White Masedvallia Orchids are compact, cool growing plants (native to Central and South America). They have triangular blooms on multiple stems and are recognised for their elongated sepal “tails”. They thrive in high humidity with consistent moisture with bright indirect light. Feed lightly with a good quality orchid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks during active growing season (spring/summer) and every 4-5 weeks during winter.
One of the most popular white-flowering, shade-loving Azaleas, ‘Aline’ has gorgeous, large, crisp white flowers from late autumn through to spring. Its dark green leaves are glossy and leathery, providing a lush backdrop that enhances the vibrancy of the blooms. Height to 60cm Width to 60cm
A popular variety of silverbeet that is grown for its full flavoured, crinkled dark green leaves and contrasting white stalks. Easy and quick growing producing an ample crop.
Silverbeet is easy to grow in the right spot. It will thrive in a partially sunny spot (about 3 to 4 hours sun per day), protected from the wind. It should be protected from the hot sun, so consider a shade cloth tent, or planting under taller crops like sweet corn. Leave about 30cm between each plant.
Being leafy vegies, silverbeet will respond incredibly well to regular feeds of a seaweed fertiliser such as Maxicrop . Apply every month to keep your silverbeet happy and preventing them from setting seed too early. Never let it dry out, they need consistent moisture to remain pest and problem free. A deep soaking, several times a week is ideal.
Snails and slugs are LOVE silverbeet, so its best to sprinkle some snail pellets around them for safe keeping.
