CALLISTEMON 'GENOA GLORY'
Genoa Glory is a compact upright medium shrub 1.5-2.5M with dense grey-green foliage and numerous glossy purple-maroon brushes in spring & autumn which attract small birds. An excellent screening plant as it may be clipped as a hedge or  ideal specimen in small gardens 1.2- 2m wide. It loves the sun or will take part shade.
HIBBERTIA SCANDENS
Hibbertia scandens, sometimes  known as golden guinea vine is native to eastern Australia. It is a  climber to 3m or scrambler with egg-shaped leaves that are narrower end towards the base. A scrambler means it can be used as a tall ground cover to about 50cm. Ideal for a bank or rockery. Or a vigorous and twining climber with large yellow flowers in late spring and summer.  It can be grown in sun for best flowering or part shade. Low maintenance apart from cutting back any stems that wander into unwanted places. A good waterwise plant once it gets established, and tolerates very sandy soils and coast salt conditions.

BRACHYSCOME 'FRESCO PURPLE'
Fresco Purple has finely textured foliage and large purple flowers that last all season long. Compact and upright-mounded plants prefers full sun for the best shape and brighter larger blooms. It will still produce flowers in part shade and grow 10-15cm. Great as a ground cover or border plant in a traditional or native garden.

Peperomia 'Sunrise' in Pleated Cement Pot

Peperomia 'Sunrise' has deeply textured grey-green heart-shaped foliage with contrasting pink-red undersides. Its leaves are positioned at the end of its upright pink stalks. This Peperomia is a compact indoor plant growing to 15cm tall. In this rustic cement pot, this pot and plant combination is a great addition to a bedside table or desk.

Position in a bright room away from direct sunlight. Allow soil to dry out slightly between watering. Water less in winter, being careful not to overwater. They prefer drier soil as their leaves are thick and almost succulent-like.

Dwarf Citrus varieties

We have a number of citrus just in, including lemon and limes as well as blood orange and mandarin!
As well as these normal size citrus which are happy in pots, we have dwarf citrus which require even less maintenance in pots and smaller areas.

Dwarf Imperial Mandarin
An easy to peel mandarin with minimal seeds that ripens late Autumn to early Winter.

Dwarf Eureka Lemon
Eureka lemons are thin skinned, have minimal seeds and the fruit is large, juicy and acidic.

Dwarf Navelina Orange
A medium to medium-large sized navel orange that is very juicy and has a sweet-tangy flavour. Perfect for juicing or eating straight from the tree.

Dwarf Kaffir Lime
Kaffir lime leaves or the zest of the fruit make a flavoursome addition in cooking, such as thai green curry, as well as desserts and drinks.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric is widely used in Indian, Pakistani and some Middle Eastern dishes where it adds a peppery spicy and slightly bitter flavour to curries. Use with strong meats and fish, root vegetables, pickles and dressings. Also adds a pale yellow colour to food.

Being another ancient spice it has been used for many purposes in old Indian and Asian medicine and has been thought of as one of the most potent and beneficial of all the spices.  It can be used for treating any kind of inflammation.

It is generally used as a dry powder but the flavour is far nicer when used as a fresh grated root. A nice simple dish is to mix it with moist coconut flakes, garlic and olive oil. Then toss fresh steamed green beans in the mix and serve hot or cold. Care should be taken as the yellow is a powerful dye that will stain clothes and kitchen implements.

Turmeric prefers a moist, well drained soil in a semi-shade position with morning sun and temperatures of 20 degrees plus. Goes dormant in winter in the cooler climates. Harvest when the leaves start to wither.
