LAGERSTROEMIA 'TUSCARORA'

 ‘Tuscarora’ has masses of magenta flowers that cover the compact tree which grows 5m x 3m .They have dark green leaves emerging in spring that change to warm yellow, orange and red tones in autumn before dropping.Crepe Myrtles are grown for their elegant clusters of blooms that resemble crinkled crepe paper which are on display in summer, and their attractive mottled trunk.

Crepe Myrtles love hot summers and will tolerate a wide range of soils ranging from heavy to sandy. They benefit from a slow-release fertiliser application in spring and pruning to maintain shape. Pruning in winter encourages new flowering wood for next summer.

SALVIA 'SO COOL VIOLET'
Salvia ‘So Cool Violet’ has a striking flower colour of deep purple with high volume of blooms produced in spring and summer. It is very compact and has dense growth - Height: 70cm Spread: 1m. This low maintenance sun lover is dry tolerant and easy to grow.Prune after main flowering to encourage faster re-bloom and to maintain a neat habit. Apply a slow release fertiliser in spring to improve overall vigour. Perfect for containers and general garden use and offers fast results for new gardens. Ideal for small spaces balconies or gardens.

ANTIRRHIUM 'SNAP IN BLACK PALE PINK'

This NEW evergreen, perennial variety of snapdragon has masses of flowers with dramatic black colouring of new foliage. With heavy flowering in spring it repeatedly blooms during the year. A compact grower to 40cm it is  ideal for flower borders and containers. It grows well in most soil types which are moist but well draining - does not like to sit in wet conditions for long periods of time.
Prune to shape after a main flowering flush to encourage a dense habit.
Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and after each flush of flowers.
Mulch well to help retain moisture during dry periods.

CONVOLVULUS 'PURPLE MOON'

'Purple Moon' is a specially selected NEW low mounding, ground covering variety which carries larger flowers than normally found in this species. In addition it has a more vigorous growth habit forming a neat and dense mat ideal for quick results in barren garden areas and also perfect for hanging baskets. The violet-blue flowers open by unfurling 'pleats' to form the strongly flared tube. They first begin appearing from late spring and will continue right through to autumn.

Agastache ‘Pink Scepter’

A gorgeous gift all wrapped up! A long flowering shrub growing to 1.2 metres tall and spreading 80cm. This Agastache produces a majestic display of stems topped by large, showy floral spikes flowering from summer to autumn. It has aromatic foliage when crushed or handled and its flowers are rich in nectar, therefore attracting birds and butterflies.

Agastache ‘Pink Scepter’ is tough, dry tolerant and fast growing. Perfect to plant out in a new garden for fast results. Ideal for water wise or low maintenance gardens and suitable for containers and small gardens. Position in the full sun. Easy to grow in most soil types which are well draining. Low water needs once established requiring only occasional long soak during extended periods of heat. Semi herbaceous in cool climate during winter. Cut back older foliage at start of spring when new growth appears and apply a slow release fertiliser. Mulching around plant will help retain moisture during dry periods.
 

FICUS 'TINEKE'

The Ficus 'Tineke' is a beautiful rubber plant with different variegation patterns from white to pink which typically occur in random patterns around the perimeter of the leaves. This variety loves shade to part sun conditions in an indoor environment for the best results. Fertilize with a liquid mix during the warm months and allow to dry out slightly between waterings.

Hops - Humulus lupus

Hops are a fast growing deciduous vine perfect for a screen to block the summer heat. They originated from South East Asia over 10,000 years ago. It adds the bitter flavour and is a preservative against bacteria in the fermentation process. 

Hops are the flowers, or cones, of a plant called Humulus lupulus. Hops help to keep beer fresher, longer; help beer retain its head of foam—a key component of a beer’s aroma and flavor; and, of course, add “hoppy” aroma, flavor, and bitterness. 

Hops belong to the Cannabinaceae family, which also happens to include Cannabis (hemp and marijuana). Hops are hardy plants and are grown the world over.

Hops are divided into two very general varieties: bittering and aroma. Bittering hops will have higher alpha acids, making them more economical for bittering beer (a small amount goes a long way). Aroma hops will tend to have more essential oils. It’s those highly volatile essential oils that contribute much of what people understand as “hoppiness.”
