For Australia day why not plant out a patch of garden with beautiful native plants. Hardy, colourful and bird attracting, this trio of Aussie Natives is sure to impress

Anigozanthos Kangaroo Paw 'Big Red'
A tall paw with large individual flowers which can reach 2 metres high. This paw is a strong grower that persists from year to year. Good cut flower and attracts birds that feed from the nectar rich flowers. Strappy dark green leaves.
Best in a sunny spot, feed with a good native fertiliser. Adaptable to different soils. Once established, it can be cut back hard to the ground to rejuvenate, as it will regrow from the underground rhizomes. Feed and water after cutting back to help the new growth

Hibiscus 'Peach Melba' All Wrapped Up!

Rio Clara Hibiscus has been bred for their extra large vibrant flowers and attractive dark green glossy foliage. The peachy-orange to red centred tropical flowers are on show throughout the warmer months on compact well branched plants. Plant in moist, well drained soil in a sunny position. Ideal for large patio pots, garden borders and makes a showy garden hedge or scree. Prune well and fertilise regularly to maintain shape and promote new growth. Grows to 2m tall and about 1.5 m wide. Hibiscus looking amazing at this time of year makes a great gift!

Peperomia 'Watermelon Red' in Vintage Greens Pot

The Watermelon Peperomia is a compact, tropical, evergreen perennial with highly decorative foliage. The leaves are reminiscent of the exterior of a watermelon! The gorgeous green tones of this indoor complement the vintage greens pot.
Prefers well-drained soil and a warm humid environment. Position away from direct sun but in a bright room for best results, although they can tolerate lower light conditions. Allow water to dry out slightly between watering.

Trinidad Scorpian Butch T Chilli
The Butch T chilli is a medium sized bush with masses of red hot fruit. They are one of the hottest chillies in the world so must be handled with care. It should only be using in cooking and used in small quantities due to the extreme spice. Do not eat raw.

Plant in a protected spot away from fierce sunlight and wind in a well draining soil. Regular feeding with a liquid fertilizer will help the plant looking lush and allows it to produce the best fruit.

SAVE WATER WITH RAPID SOAK

With the weather heating up, it's time to apply a wetting agent to pots and garden beds to ensure water is getting down to the roots where it is most needed.
When you water does it just sit on the soil surface or run off? Rapid Soak is the solution! Simply sprinkle a loose handful onto the soil's surface and water in and watch the water get quickly drawn down.
