Poinsettia in Tin

The Poinsettia, Euphorbia pulcherrima, is a festive plant native to Mexico, known for its vibrant red and green foliage.
The plant's red 'flowers' are actually specialised leaves called bracts and are popular decorations during the Christmas season.
To care ensure they have a brightly lit position out of direct sun, indoors or out, and avoiding overwatering. To encourage re-blooming, poinsettias need a period of short days and cooler temperatures (during the winter months)

Chilis Galore!

Chili plants, part of the Capsicum genus, yield various peppers like jalapeño, habanero, super hot and hot banana, just to name a few.  Chili plants thrive in warm temperatures. They are often grown as annuals in temperate climates but can be perennials in tropical regions.

Chili plants require plenty of sunlight, ideally around 6-8 hours per day, with well-draining soil with organic matter. Chili plants prefer slightly moist soil. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to allow the soil to dry out between watering.

Fertilise chilli plants with a fruit and citrus food during the growing season to produce plenty flowers and plenty of strong growth. Pruning can help chilli plants develop a bushier shape and may increase fruit production. Remove dead or diseased branches regularly.  Chili peppers can be harvested at various stages of maturity, and their flavour can change as they ripen.
