Spectacular Salvias

Loads of salvias have just landed at Botanical Creations.
Salvias are super heat and dry hardy and come in a range of bright spectacular colours.
Finn is in the shop helping out his Dad this holidays, and is showing off his favourite colour - the Salvia 'Fashion Orange'!

Big blooms for summer sun - what a treat!

GRANDAISY WHITE

A hybrid Madeira Daisy which provides large mounding plants swathed in clear white blooms, up to an eye popping 8-10cm in diameter. Bred in Australia, unique for its looks and ease of care. Perfect for featuring in pot displays or gardens.

SUNPATIENS WHITE

SunPatiens are a breakthrough in impatiens breeding - the first series to tolerate heat, humidity, rain, sun and shade once established!
Use as a landscape plant, in pots, baskets or mixed containers in any situation, from shade to full sun, and you will be rewarded with brilliant colour from spring right throughout the hottest summer until the first frosts.

MANDEVILLA 'JADE PINK'

Jade Pink is a compact Dipladenia ideal for flower beds, patio pots and looks great planted in groups for a mass flowering display. Pink coloured flowers are on show throughout the warmer months over shiny evergreen foliage.

Jade Pink will perform best if grown in a sunny position in moist but free draining soil qualtiy soil. If your soil type is more sandy be sure to add compost when planting.
Flowers have great colour fading resistance to sun and the plant can cope with short periods of drought. In cold areas during winter the plant may partially defoliate but will regrow in spring.

Calathea Musaica in Swirled Ceramic Pot

A beautiful evergreen species of calathea with amazing leaf patterns resembling tiny mosaics. Suitable houseplant ideal for pots and terrariums.

Place on the patio during the warmer months and avoid direct sunlight as this can burn the leaves. Water when the soil feels dry or when the leaves start to droop. Keep soil moist but not wet, watering more in summer and less in winter.
We have paired it with the swirled ceramic pot

Sweet Basil

Sweet basil is a fragrant, annual herb with bright green, oval leaves and small white to pinkish flowers. It grows up to 50cm and belongs to the mint family.
Known for its sweet, slightly peppery flavour with a hint of anise, sweet basil is a staple in Mediterranean and Italian cuisines, used in dishes like pasta sauces and pesto.
To maintain optimal flavour, it's best to pinch off flower buds. Basil requires well-drained soil, plenty of sunlight, and is sensitive to cold. It can be grown from seeds or cuttings, with regular harvesting promoting bushier growth. Considered a companion plant, basil may repel certain pests.
Popular varieties include Holy (Tulsi), Thai, and Purple basil. Harvest leaves regularly for continuous growth.
