CANDLELIGHT & LOVE WISHES

Create a luxurious feel in the garden with

HYDRANGEA 'CANDLELIGHT'

This outstanding new Hydrangea paniculata produces conical, creamy white flowers on deep red stems for an impressive and unforgettable visual display. As the flowers age they gently change to shades of pale and deeper pinks. ‘Candlelight’ is an elegant, yet extremely hardy shrub with strong stems ensuring that flowers are held proudly upright from later summer through to the autumn season.

SALVIA 'LOVE AND WISHES'

'Love and Wishes' continues the strong alignment with Make-A-Wish Australia with part proceeds from the sale of every plant being donated to this special charity to help grant wishes for children with life threatening medical conditions.
With deep purple flowers with deeper plum coloured bracts it has long flowering through the warmer months. Fantastic dome shaped fast growth ideal for gardens or large containers.
Expert Trip - Trim back by up to a third after flowering finishes to optimise the next flowering display and to encourage a bushy habit. Plant in drifts for stunning low maintenance displays.

AJUGA REPTANS 'CATLIN'S GIANT'

Catlins Giant is an excellent ground cover that will form a carpet of large glossy coppery-purple leaves. In Spring it produces upright, purple flower spikes up to 20cm high. It will grow best in a moist well drained soil in a sunny or partly shaded position. ‘Catlins Giant’ is a hardy plant once established, and will tolerate cold conditions. Protect from snails and slugs with an application of Multiguard pellets in spring and autumn. It will also benefit from an annual feed in Spring with organic fertiliser to keep it looking lush.

Scutellaria 'Red Scooter'

Flushes of red snapdragon-like flowers cover the low mounding foliage from summer through to autumn. Fabulous for small spaces or edging and will spill over walls and rockeries. Salt, wind and dry tolerant once established. Makes an attractive ground cover for small areas.

Red Scooter likes full sun and is dry tolerant once established, requiring only an occasional water during very hot weather. An addition of slow release fertiliser in spring is recommended.

Calathea 'Rosy' in Tapered Blush Pot

One of the most stunning indoor plants, Calathea 'Rosy' will do well in indoor gardens and terrariums. 'Rosy' is slow growing and does not require much maintenance so it can be kept small and compact for long periods; it will also do well in pots in most places indoors but requires heating in colder months.

Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums, potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between watering. Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and drafty positions.
This Calathea is moderately hardy but will not survive in cold climates without heating. Keep on the dryer side in winter.

Pair with a Tapered Blush Pot to emphasise Rosy's stunning foliage!

Native Thyme Bush - Prostanthera incisa

Prostanthera is a group of aromatic shrubs native to Australia, known for their colourful flowers and lance-shaped leaves. They thrive in sunny, well-drained areas, often reaching heights of 0.5 to 3 meters.
Cultivated widely for ornamental purposes, they prefer temperate climates and are easy to grow.

Native Thyme boasts a more complex flavour than Mentha mints. With hints of pepper and earthy tones, it makes a great flavoursome herb for chicken, fish, emu, roo and lamb dishes. Both the leaves and flowers have minty qualities, and may be steeped in hot water to make a herbal tisane. To harvest, just pluck fresh leaves off the growing plant, or prune whole stalks at a time. Both leaf and stem may be used — fresh, or chopped and dried for later use. Just remember the flavour will fade over time after harvesting.

The flowers of Prostanthera plants are one of their most attractive features. They are often tubular or bell-shaped and can come in a variety of colors including white, pink, purple, blue, and occasionally yellow. The flowers are usually arranged in clusters at the ends of branches and can be quite showy, attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies.
