Dracaena sanderiana 'Lucky Bamboo'

Dracaena are very hardy indoor plants that can survive well under low light making them ideal for indoor use in pots, gardens and terrarium use. They are moderate growing so will require some cutting back so they can be kept small, wherever they are cut back they will reshoot.

Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings. Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Keep on the dry side in winter.

Evergreen tall palm-like plant which has large broad leaves that give a fabulous architectural structure and even more dramatic effect if left to create a shadow. Great for containers, rotate it from inside in autumn winter and outdoors spring and summer. It can produce white and blue flowers during spring and early summer if kept outdoors. A wonderful edition in foliage for tropical gardens.

MANDEVILLA 'JADE RED'
With a profusion of flowers, Jade Red is a compact Dipladenia ideal fo rpatio pots and looks great planted in groups for a mass flowering display. Red coloured flowers are on show throughout the warmer months over shiny evergreen foliage.

Jade Red will perform best if grown in a sunny position Flowers have great colour fading resistance to sun and the plant can cope with short periods of drought.

DICHONDRA 'SILVER FALLS'
Silver Falls is the common name for Dichondra argentea, a low ground cover to 10cm. The name Silver Falls comes from the unique colouring of the leaves, a silvery pale green. It is especially popular in hanging baskets because of its trailing foliage and perfect for trailing over the edge of pots. It is fabulous the way it spreads and covers an area vigorously and quickly as well as for its low-maintenance nature. Best in at least a half day of sun.

Systemic Control for Sap-Sucking Insects

Sucking insects have started to invade once more, especially indoors where humidity is higher and temperatures are more stable.
Keep an eye out particularly for aphids, azalea lace bug, and mealy bugs (pictured above).

Conguard gives 3-4 weeks residual control of aphids, lace bug, mealybug, pysllids, hibiscus beetle, scales and thrips. This highly effective product is great for use on shrubs, pot plants, ornamentals and roses.
