NEW Campanula Viking

A prolific Campanula with a display of large, trumpet-shaped flowers with up to 50cm tall stems. Lilac to purple colour flowers appear in sping and agian from late summer into autumn. Gorgeous planted with Lavenders and Silver Bush
Excellent in containers and small gardens. The bees love it and so will you!

Polka Dot Begonia in Sage Orchid Pot

Begonia maculata is a striking indoor plant with its large green leaves marked with amazing white polka dots. The contrasting undersides of the leaves can vary from red to purple. Clusters of pink flowers are produced on a single stem year round.

Place in a bright spot indoors away from direct sun as it can burn the leaves. Water when soil feels dry, watering more in summer than winter.

NEW AND BOLD FOLIAGE
The contrast of burgundy foliage with silver plus a pop of raspberry flowers!

CERCIS CANADENSIS 'FOREST PANSY'

This small attractive deiduous feature tree has spectacular heart shaped burgundy coloured leaves that continually change colour throughout the year. The branches have a distinctive, smooth dark brown wood which contrasts well with the blossom like pink flowers that are borne before the re-emergence of burgundy leaves once again in spring.

CONVOLVULUS 'SILVERY MOON'
It's the NEW improved version of Silver Bush. With a bonus of a profusion of large white, funnel-shaped flowers with year round interest with its silver foliage. Its contrasting foliage offers a focal point in a border or for creating a foil for other low growing perennials or groundcovers. C. 'Silvery Moon' performs best in full sun with well drained soil. Although dry tolerant once established it is still recommended to give occasional deep waterings through extended dry periods. Pruning is not necessary although a light prune after main flowering period (ie. early autumn) can help promote vigour and maintain a neat shape.

ANTIRRHINUM 'SNAP IN BLACK RASPBERRY'

The NEW Antirrhinum SNAP IN BLACK™ Raspberry is an evergreen, perennial variety of snapdragon that the bees and butterflies will love. With dramatic black colouring of new foliage and compact habit it is ideal for filling small spaces. Heavy flowering in spring with repeat blooming during the year. Easy to grow and fast results 40cmx40cm

Grows well in most soil types which are moist but well draining - does not like to sit in wet conditions for long periods of time. Prune to shape after a main flowering flush to encourage a dense habit. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring. Mulch well to help retain moisture during dry periods. Fertilse regularly if grown in containers.

Horseradish

A strong flavoured condiment used in Asian and European cuisine. Horseradish is closely related to mustard and wasabi and is often used in similar ways. Partners with ginger, garlic, chilli onions - use with strong meats and root vegetables. High in Vitamin C and potassium.

Horseradish is native to southern Europe but  over the last 3000 years has spread widely around the world .Grate and mix with vinegar and cream to make a classic horseradish sauce that is used as a condiment for roast beef. Mix with mayonnaise to make a creamier spread for sandwiches. The harvested roots are best stored in fresh water. Once cut it loses its flavour, only do so when ready to use.

Horseradish can be tricky to get started but once established it weill take off so should be planted in a large container bed. It need warm summer weather and a cold winter to cause the leaves to drop and the plant to go into dormancy.

Harvest after leaf drop. If left more than a year the tubers will become large and fibrous. These are not suitable for use but if cut ip and replanted will be okay the following year.

Insectrap
Natural control for Citrus Gall Wasp & Fruit Fly

What Insectrap does:

It protects fruit and trees from damage caused by the Citrus Gall Wasp, Fruit Fly (including the Mediteranian Fruit Fly) and other insect pests. It attracts these pests to its glue field and permanently traps them, interrupting their life cycle and reducing their population.

How to use:

Remove Insectrap from its package.

Gently push the enclosure upwards then hold the bottom of the stick with one hand. With the other hand twist the top end to expose the holes.

Hang it on the outer limbs of the branch by its hook.

Discard when outer surface is full of insects and replace with a new one.

Effective for 3 to 4 months from date of use or until full of insects
