Imagine living near a woodland where Lily of the valley  is considered invasive. In parts of North America this is real. In Australia Lily of the valley are precious specimens of delight. A rhizome with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers sprays. Rhizomes are a bit like a bulb popping it’s heads up in spring, just leaves for the summer and disappearing in winter. Lily of the valley are best planted in a moist position protected from the summer heat. Watch out for snails as they emerge. Apply Snail Pallets to keep them safe.
