PINK & LIME GREEN
We love new varieties of garden classics because it means less pruning therefore less maintenance.
VIBURNUM ODARATISSIMUM 'QUICK FENCE'
Quick fence is a fast growing screening hedge that will bring a lush look to your fence line. Its attractive large glossy lime green leaves offset fragrant white flowers from late spring, followed by tiny red ornamental fruit. Quick Fence does not grow as wide as other Viburnum because of its upright growth, making it a better hedging form. It’s tolerant of most soil types and conditions, however, prefers well-drained soil.

NEW HEBE 'STRAWBERRY CREAM'
Hebe 'Strawberry Cream' is a compact, easy-care shrub with bold bi-colour strawberry pink and white blooms and rich purple foliage in cooler months. Australian-bred and disease-resistant, it offers year-round colour and thrives in a variety of climates. Ideal for garden beds, potted displays, balconies, or mixed plantings.

HETEROCENTRON ELEGANS 'SPANISH SHAWL'

'Spanish Shawl' has a prolific display of purple/pink flower cloak  from late spring through to early summer. Evergreen, dense mat forming groundcover ideal for covering large areas. Fast and easy to grow on retaining walls, embankments or rockeries, containers or hanging baskets. Great for small or narrow spaces, fast growing for new gardens! Grows well in most soil types which are moist but well draining. Low maintenance once established. Apply a slow release fertiliser in spring to encourage profuse flowering. No pruning is generally required.

Tom's Indoor Combo of the Week!
Our most popular indoor...

Peace Lily in Ribbed Khaki Pot
Spathiphyllum is regarded as one of the most popular indoor plants because of its beautiful lush dark green leaves and its crisp white lily looking flower. Spathiphyllums grow in quite low light and will flower in those contitions too, there is almost no position in your house where one will not grow! The Sweet chico is a compact form with dark leaves suitable for smaller pots (we grow them in 130mm and 170mm). They also have quite a prolific flowering habit.
Spathiphyllums do like to have a bit of a drink but on the other hand they will tolerate drying out too! if you forget to water your spathiphyllum give it a sit in a bucket so it is fully saturated, let it drain and it will come good for you. Listen to what it is telling you and do that!. Spaths suit a wide range of uses including indoors, Offices and green walls. I have grown them fully submerged in a tropical fish tank (fresh water only!)
Most plants don't like to sit in a saucer of water when you water them but spathiphyllums do not mind, as long as once they have sucked it up you let it use the water in the soil too, that they are not continuously sitting in water.
Spathiphyllums love to be potted up, if you are struggling to get your spath to flower pot it into some fresh soil in a slightly bigger pot and give it some fertalizer, this may stimulate flowering.

Martin's Edible Pick of the Week

Advanced Jalapeno Chilli
featured in Murcia Cylinder Pot
A very popular, hot chilli that can be green or red when ripe. Use in hot sauces and stir fries, preserve or pickled them. Ideal for home vegetable gardens or containers.

As your Jalapeno plant matures and the fruit begins to develop, it's crucial to maintain consistent soil moisture. Ensure that the soil remains damp but avoid overwatering, which can harm the plant's health. To assist with soil retention and nutrients use Organic Pure Magic Compost

To encourage prolonged flowering and fruiting, use fruit n citrus fertiliser, also make it a routine to pick the Jalapeno chillies regularly. This practice not only stimulates the plant but also extends its productive lifespan. Jalapeno Chillies are edible at any size. They will continue to ripen, and their colour may change over time, offering various culinary possibilities.
