CAMELLIA 'SWEET JANE' Camellia 'Sweet Jane' is by far the longest flowering pink Camellia. Sweet Jane is a Victorian bred hybrid variety that can flower for 5 – 6 months of the year. Rose pink buds open to masses of white/blush pink blooms edged soft pink to pink. New growth in Autumn and Spring has a beautiful coppery deep red hue over its bushy upright foliage. It grows 2-3m and can be planted in sun or shade. Prepare the soil with pure magic compost when planting and ensure regular watering through summer. It’s a great time to fertilise with Azalea and Camellia fertiliser to stimulate flower production. Planted as a hedge or specimen Sweet Jane will delight you with flowers Autumn and Winter.

Parlour Palm in Otago Pot This species is one of the smallest of all palm trees. It is able to survive well under low light making it ideal for indoor pots and terrarium use. Elegans is slow growing so will remain small and compact for long periods.
Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix should be allowed to almost dry between waterings. Keep in a bright well-lit area or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Fertiliser should be only used if you would like the plant to grow. Lack of fertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact. Temperatures above 20 deg C will speed up growth, between 10 and 20 deg C growth will be extremely slow and plants will remain small for few years.
A sun hardy Camellia with large, semi double white flowers. Guard petals have a pale red shading at bud. Very showy and long flowering in autumn and early winter. The bush is vigorous, strong and upright. Foliage is dark green and glossy with thick texture. Plant Asakura with a prepared planting mixture or well decomposed compost. Mulch soil surface area and keep moist in drier months. Light prune after flowering in spring for shape, with the addition of some recommended fertiliser.
An easy to grow, herbaceous perennial with very sweet foliage and delicate white flowers Use the leaves fresh or dry and grind into a poder then use in all forms of cooking. It is heat and food acid stable, so it is good for sauces, desserts and baking. The leaves are very sweet, and it will take some time trialling to get the quantities right. it has no calories and is safe for diabetics. This small shrub is an attractive plant that will die back in late autumn. The plant forms small growing tips below the soil and needs to be protected from heavy frosts, especially whilst young. Three tablespoons are enough for a Daphne of approx. 50cm x 50cm. Potted plants require half the amount.
Adjust dosage according to plant size. Sprinkle the formula evenly around the base of your Daphne to the width of the foliage – avoiding the trunk. Rake in lightly and water in well.
