Burgundy Maple with Plum and White Winter Delights

ACER PALMATUM - INABA SHIDARE

This Weeping Dark Purple Cutleaf Japanese Maple is a true all year round delight. Plum purple through spring and summer, vivid red in autumn and now almost bare showing off its weeping wire branch structure.
Pest free, so easy to care for. Apply all purpose fertiliser spring and autumn. Ensure it gets a good drink on those hot summer days and protect from temperatures about 30 degrees and up.

CAMELLIA SASANQUA 'ASAKURA'

Asakura is a very showy and long flowering Camellia, with flowering extending from autumn through to early winter. The longest flowering white flowering Camellia I know. The bush is vigorous, strong, upright and sun hardy. Leaves are dark green, thick and glossy highlighting the pink buds and showy white flowers. Asakura looks great either clipped to shape or left to form a natural tear dropped shaped tall shrub. I have them planted down my drive and they look fabulous.

HELLEBORUS - DOUBLE BURGUNDY

With gorgeous ruffled burgundy flowers this Hellebore is perfect for underplanting or as a cut flower. Commonly known as winter roses, they are tough evergreen perennials that are well suited to south eastern Australia's climate. Hellebores have handsome glossy divided foliage, are drought tolerant once established and are ideal mass planted under maples.

Blood Orange - Arnold

Arnold Blood is a newer variety discovered by Mike Arnold. Mike is an Australian citrus grower in South Australia. Blood oranges are predominately grown along the coast of Australia and are sold through farmers markets, supermarkets and speciality growers in Europe and the United States.

It is a true blood orange with a orange to dark red, streaky flesh and a slight red blush on the skin. This variety produces a good red pigmentation in Sydney and coastal climates, although does produce better colour in cooler climates. The smallish, fruit ripens mid-winter and has a distinctive tang. The tree is also small and bushy, making it suitable for pots or a small garden.

Feed with fruit n citrus fertiliser to produce plenty of flowers and fruit. Keep well watered during warmer months.

It’s time to spray them to prevent fungal disease in spring.

COPPER OXYCHLORIDE

Copper Oxychloride is an effective broad-spectrum protectant fungicide with low risk of resistance development, due to the copper mechanisms of multiple action. Copper is actively accumulated in the fungal spores, inhibiting germination, even at very low concentrations.

Used for the control of certain fungal diseases of fruit trees, vegetables and ornamentals such as roses in the garden. This is primarily a semi-dormant spray for the control of leaf curl, freckle brown rot, black spot and a number of other fungal diseases on stone fruit such as citrus, grapes and some ornamentals.

- Suitable for most fruit, vegetables and ornamental flowers & shrubs.
- Controls a broad range of 20 common fungal & bacterial diseases including: bacterial canker, leaf curl, sooty blotch, melanose, early & late blight.
- 200g makes up to 100 litre of fungicide spray.
