Description
Callistemon 'Hannah Ray' 140 mm
Large shrub or evergreen small tree with pendulous branches covered in bright red bottlebrush flowers which are highly attractive to nectar-feeding birds.
Extremely adaptable, tolerating both over-wet soils and periods of drought. Grows well in clay or sandy soils. Will tolerate light frosts and some coastal exposure.
Water during dry periods. Feed with fertilizer formulated for native plants. Prune lightly after flowering to promote bushy growth and more flowers next season. Mulch well to suppress weeds and conserve soil moisture.
