Eucalyptus latens 'Moon Lagoon' 140 mm
Moon Lagoon is a hardy small form of Eucalyptus latens originating from the Mallee. This plant produces for 6 months of the year small red buds combined with attractive silver-grey juvenile foliage.
POSITION: Grows well in areas with good air flow in both part shade & full sun. It is adaptable to most soils including well drained clay and is very tolerant of dry periods. Moon Lagoon will not tolerate damp areas.
CARE: This plant requires little
maintenance and it is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help establish the plant. Mulching around the base will help retain moisture and suppress weeds. With cutting back, this small Mallee tree will continue to produce silver accent foliage.
USES: Moon Lagoon has a variety of uses either by hedging to create a silver border and the foliage is suitable to use for cut flowers.
