Native Violet (Viola hederacea)

 Australian native violets are so hardy they are found in many parts of Australia. A pretty ground cover for shady areas, it has  pretty purple and white flowers held above round leaves 15 cm tall. It spreads infinately by runners, and does best in moist open soil. It produce a  delicate display of flowers right through from summer to spring. These reliable ground cover plants are easy to care for, make a gorgeous replacement for low-traffic lawns, and is  super easy.
